It's a shame that party primary elections have low turnout. Some of the best potential candidates for general elections are denied the opportunity to win the bigger contest because factions that don't represent majority viewpoints turn out en masse in low-turnout primaries.
Tuesday is the start of early voting for the March 6 Texas primary. We offer the following recommendations as a guide that we hope will help voters turn their opinions into action at the ballot box, regardless whether they agree with us:
